What have you done with your sins?
Police in central Pennsylvania say they've nabbed a real pothead. They said an officer spotted 29-year-old Cesar Lopez inside a convenience store with a bag of marijuana stuck to his forehead. Investigators said Lopez was seen peering inside his baseball capearly Saturday morningin Lebanon, which is located about 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia. When Lopez looked up, the officer noticed a small plastic bagappearing to contain marijuana stuck to his forehead. Police said the officer peeled the bag off Lopez's forehead and placed him under arrest. He has been charged with drug possession. Inside the hat band of caps is a favorite place for many users to hide their stash of drugs. Mr. Lopez thoughts must have gone from where could my pot have gone to why is that cop looking at me with that smile on his face. The Bible plainly says, O God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you. We make think ourselves cleaver and think we are getting away with something that we should. However, God sees our sins just as plainly as pot on the forehead. Yet, we can also see that God will take those sins away and allow us to appear clean and new. He reassures us, Though yoursinsare as scarlet, they willbe as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they willbe like wool. Can you imagine how imbarrassing to come to the eternal court and attempt to justify our sinful actions while all the time they as evident as if they are stuck to our foreheads? The only way to stand justified at judgment is through Jesus. There is no way to stash our sins, but there is a way to have them washed away and stand justified before God.
