Resolutions

So here we are at the end of another year and at the beginning of a brand new one. This is the time for family and friends, parades and parties, bowl games and blizzards, reflections and resolutions. For many it is this time of year we make promises to ourselves to make changes to make ourselves and life better in the coming year. Some will resolve to eat better and shed more than a few pounds. This is when ‌health clubs‍ memberships grow, because we resolve to exercise everyday. To be honest last year I made six new years resolution, and I am very proud to say that I have keep every one. I have kept them in an envelope in my desk. Unfortunately, if we keep our resolutions that is the manner in which we ‌keep‍ them, or we simply dont persevere and our resolution relapse to our last year patterns. In some cases it matters very little if our resolution is kept diligently or in a drawer. Yet, the resolutions that we need to make, keep, and complete are those that deal with our spiritual life. Such resolutions will shape our life in ways that we never dreamed when we utter those words, ‌This year I resolve to…‍ May you and I make those resolutions that will change our life and keep us always walking in the footsteps of Jesus; not only for 2010, but for a lifetime.
